The short version

ChillBlades, the Mac fan control app, comes with a free 7-day trial. Run it on your real machine for a week, then decide. $30 is a one-off, not a subscription.

After purchase I don't run a routine "use it and refund it" window, because the trial is that window. What I do still cover are the things that aren't your decision: genuine bugs, payment problems, license keys that didn't arrive. Get in touch and I'll sort it.

The trial is the test

Every Mac gets a free 7-day trial, no card on file. The trial is the same app as the paid version. Set your fans by hand, turn on Auto Boost, see how it runs on your machine under your real load for the whole week.

If at the end of the week it isn't for you, don't buy. If it is, that's what the $30 is for.

When I will refund you

If something has genuinely gone wrong, get in touch and I'll make it right. Some examples:

A bug you didn't hit during the trial that breaks the app on your specific Mac. A payment that went through twice. A license email that never arrived. A change I make in an update that materially removes something you bought it for.

In any of those cases, reach out and I'll either refund you in full or fix the issue, whichever you'd prefer.

How to ask

Drop me a note through the contact page, ideally from the address you bought with. If you've got the license key handy, paste it in. A short note about what's gone wrong is enough.

You don't need to write a bug report or hop on a call. I read these myself.

After a refund

The $30 goes back to your original payment method, usually within a few working days depending on your bank. Your license is deactivated, and I'd ask that you stop using the app and delete your copy.

Your statutory rights

Nothing on this page affects the statutory consumer rights you have where you live. This policy sits on top of them, it doesn't replace them.
